My Testimony of God’s Faithfulness

I am thankful for this journey called motherhood .  I have walked this path with God by my side and I am grateful for how far I've come.  Raising a child alone is not for the weak but God has been faithful and has given me wisdom to do this.  Through the years of feeling alone and frustrated, I can thankfully say that I am happy that God has given me the strength and grace to do this. Not by might, not by power but by his spirit . All my daughter sees is strength and perseverance. In February of this year, I saw some fluid coming from one of my breasts and I went to do an ultrasound. She told me not to worry as my results would come back okay. Deep in the back of my mind, I was worried for my child and started to beg the Lord to give me some more years to spend with her . I am thankful for life and all that the Lord has blessed me with. He has been faithful and He is taking me from glory to glory . I have seen parents who have become frustrated with their da...

It's a New Year Filled With Purpose| Seek God's Will For Your Life

We are now in a new year- 2021 ! You've made it to another year.  💪  To God be the glory!  January is almost  finished. 👀 Some of you have made resolutions and created vision boards . I am keeping the one I made last year. 😊 It is great to plan your life with all your hopes and dreams. However, sometimes we fail to seek God's wisdom in each area of our lives. I have clarity when I ask for God's opinion and therefore I am constantly seeking Him before I make any decision.  He will never lead us in the wrong direction. 💬 His ways are not our ways and His purpose always prevails. 2020 taught us that we cannot put our trust in our job, our health, our finances or our future but we must put all our faith and hope in God who is the source of all things. He is the one that gave you the strength to wake up and go to work and provided you with that job. As trivial as it seems, He is the one that blessed us with all that we have.🙏 I encourage you today...

Thankfulness during the Pandemic

Gratitude We are officially in the month of December. I have survived 11 months of 2020 and God has been faithful.  I am thankful for my health, my job, my family, my daughter and I could go on and on.  We often take the little things for granted but they matter most to God.  He is the source of all that we have. Once we learn to be content, we will never feel as if we are lacking anything.  I will leave you with these scriptures : Hebrews 13:5 - Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you." Philippians 4:19-  And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.  Psalm 37: 3-5 - Take delight in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him and He will do this. Be encouraged and know that God is fighting your battles . Your breakthrough is on...

Life During the Pandemic

I celebrated my 30th birthday in March two days after the official case of COVID-19 was announced in Jamaica . In this picture you will see a woman that has been through a lot.  I weighed 1 pound at birth and I lost my twin sister. She only lived for a few hours. I am literally a miracle. From inception, God had a plan for my life.  I am now walking in my purpose and my faith keeps growing in the Lord. The devil tried to take my life when I was 23 years old. I was attacked by an armed robber who was waiting for me in my mother's garden as I usually arrived home at midnight. However, the Holy Spirit warned me before I entered the premises that there was danger and that's how I moved in caution.    I am writing this to tell you that God has a purpose for your life and He is not done with you. Even in this difficult time, learn to trust Him knowing that He will never leave you nor forsake you. He has greater things in store for you.  I will leave you w...

Living and Teaching English in Cali, Colombia: A Jamaican Perspective

I had the opportunity to teach English at a university in Cali, Colombia. Cali is known as the City of Salsa, and as a Jamaican who loves music and dancing, I had an amazing time learning Salsa Choke and experiencing the vibrant culture. This was my first time travelling abroad, and it was an unforgettable experience. Living in another country allowed me to step outside my comfort zone, experience a new culture, and grow both personally and professionally. If you would like to read the full story of my journey, you can purchase my book on Amazon, Adventures in Cali, Colombia: A Jamaican Perspective . In the book, I share many of the memorable experiences, cultural differences, funny moments, and valuable lessons that I learned while living and teaching in Colombia. During my time there, I discovered that Colombians and Jamaicans have much in common. We share a love for sports, especially track and field and football. We enjoy meeting new people, our cultures are warm and welcoming...

National Pregnancy & Infant Loss Remembrance Day- October 15

National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day offers a day of remembrance to parents, family and friends for pregnancy loss and infant death.  Pregnancy loss and infant death may include but are not limited to miscarriage, stillbirth, SIDS or the death of a new born.   I have a reason to reflect on this day as I went through pregnancy loss. A lot of mothers don't usually share their story. However, I believe it helps in the healing process.  Four years ago, I had to do a medical abortion because my son had a rare medical condition. I was four months pregnant at the time. It was the most devastating experience that I went through.  As I reflect on the journey, I just want to thank God for his grace and mercy as He kept me during my lowest.  I kept questioning and asking why it had to happen to me and I tried to replay all the ways that I could've had a healthy child. However, now I know that it was God's will for it to happen.  After going through ...
