Praying for all areas of their lives is very important. You may be wondering how exactly can you pray for your children.  In this blog post, we'll explore practical ways Christian moms can pray for their children, along with some specific prayers that can help you feel connected to God and confident in your role as a mother. Why Is Praying for Your Children Important? Before we dive into the "how," it's important to understand why prayer matters. Prayer is more than just words we say to God. It is a way to communicate with Him, trust in His will, and seek His help. For Christian moms, praying for your children is an act of love and it deepens our trust in God who is the author and finisher of our faith. Trust Him In Times Of Difficulty| Be Reminded of His Goodness and Faithfulness

I haven't been blogging for quite awhile but I am being lead to start the process again. I am currently going through a difficult situation but I am leaving everything in God's hands.  I know He didn't bring me this far to leave me. He is the God of yesterday, today and tomorrow. He will never leave me or forsake me.  I am reminding myself of his goodness and faithfulness.  Even in the midst of uncertainty, just know that all things are working for your good.

Reflect on the Previous Year| Make Plans for the New Year | Make Positive Changes

As we wave goodbye to the old year and welcome in a new one, it's an exciting time to reflect on the previous year and to give God thanks for the hurdles that you overcame. 🙏 The new year is a chance to start fresh, set goals, and make positive changes. If you're looking to make the most of the new year, the first step is to take some time to reflect on the past year and think about the lessons you have learnt and also remember to celebrate your wins.   What did you achieve? What goals did you set but not quite reach? What could you have done differently? Taking the time to consider these questions will give you a better sense of what you want to focus on for 2023. Once you've reflected on the past year, you can start making plans for the year ahead and ask the Lord to guide your steps and help you to be disciplined and consistent. Proverbs 16:9 says The heart of man plans his way, but the LORD establishes his steps .  Consider what you want to focus on and w...

Finding Purpose Through Motherhood| Christian Mom| Millennial Mom

FINDING PURPOSE  If you told me 5 years ago that I will become a single mother, I would definitely tell you otherwise.  I am led to share this story with you.  In January of 2016, I had a medical abortion. The fetus had some abnormal complications and the doctors saw it best for me to abort it. I was 4 months pregnant. That journey was a rough one as I was not yet a born-again Christian. However, I believed in God. During the months after that I couldn't cope with the loss and I kept questioning why it had to happen. Why my first child? Why me? I didn't seek counseling to deal with the loss and I would constantly be crying or thinking about it.  I had prayed to God asking him to bless me with another child. In November 2016, I found out I was pregnant again and this time it was with my ex who was in another relationship at the time.  He answered my prayer but not in the way that I would expect. During pregnancy, I had to get used to doing things on my own as ...

Easter Reflection in the Pandemic | God loves you

Easter Reflection In Jamaica, we love to eat our bun and cheese and fish during Easter time. For others, it may be about the Easter bunny and going egg hunting or scavenger hunting. Before the pandemic, it would be a time of reveling and partying especially in Jamaica.  Let's use this time to reflect on a few things. Let's reflect on our lives and know that tomorrow is not promised to anyone. A lot of lives have been lost due to COVID-19. My condolences goes out to all who lost a loved one. 🙏 Where would your soul go when you die? Let's be honest, some of us haven't given this a thought but it's very important. God loved us so much that He sent his son, Jesus to die for us all to save us from our sins. By His blood, we are redeemed, we are made new. Once we give our life to Christ, we are a new creation. We are set free and when we die our souls go to Heaven.  If you haven't watched 'The Passion of the Christ' by Mel Gibson, I implore you to watch it ...

It's a New Year Filled With Purpose| Seek God's Will For Your Life

We are now in a new year- 2021! You've made it to another year.  💪  To God be the glory!  January is almost  finished. 👀 Some of you have made resolutions and created vision boards. I am keeping the one I made last year. 😊 It is great to plan your life with all your hopes and dreams. However, sometimes we fail to seek God's wisdom in each area of our lives. I have clarity when I ask for God's opinion and therefore I am constantly seeking Him before I make any decision.  He will never lead us in the wrong direction. 💬 His ways are not our ways and His purpose always prevails. 2020 taught us that we cannot put our trust in our job, our health, our finances or our future but we must put all our faith and hope in God who is the source of all things. He is the one that gave you the strength to wake up and go to work and provided you with that job. As trivial as it seems, He is the one that blessed us with all that we have.🙏 I encourage you today to de...

Thankfulness during the Pandemic

Gratitude We are officially in the month of December. I have survived 11 months of 2020 and God has been faithful.  I am thankful for my health, my job, my family, my daughter and I could go on and on.  We often take the little things for granted but they matter most to God.  He is the source of all that we have. Once we learn to be content, we will never feel as if we are lacking anything.  I will leave you with these scriptures: Hebrews 13:5 - Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you." Philippians 4:19-  And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.  Psalm 37: 3-5 - Take delight in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him and He will do this. Be encouraged and know that God is fighting your battles. Your breakthrough is on the ...

National Pregnancy & Infant Loss Remembrance Day- October 15

National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day offers a day of remembrance to parents, family and friends for pregnancy loss and infant death.  Pregnancy loss and infant death may include but are not limited to miscarriage, stillbirth, SIDS or the death of a new born.   I have a reason to reflect on this day as I went through pregnancy loss. A lot of mothers don't usually share their story. However, I believe it helps in the healing process.  Four years ago, I had to do a medical abortion because my son had a rare medical condition. I was four months pregnant at the time. It was the most devastating experience that I went through.  As I reflect on the journey, I just want to thank God for his grace and mercy as He kept me during my lowest.  I kept questioning and asking why it had to happen to me and I tried to replay all the ways that I could've had a healthy child. However, now I know that it was God's will for it to happen.  After going through ...

God Is Still In Control

Don't Give Up We are now in the month of October and then it will be December. Then it will be 2021. Time really passes by quickly.  👀 This year has been filled with its ups and downs. However, you can still accomplish anything that you set your mind to.  Remember that God is still in control and He never fails. His timing is perfect. 🙏 For the parents that are about to start Virtual school with your children, just know that you will get through this. You overcame all of the other hardships in your life. You will definitely conquer this journey. This will be a completely new experience for me as my daughter will be starting Kindergarten. 😶 My baby is growing up.  Just remember that there is a first time for every thing- relax and don't be too hard on yourself. We have to work together with the teachers and be there for our children to encourage them in this new space of le...

Trust God in All Areas of Your Life

LEAVING THE CORPORATE WORLD I n 2019, the Holy spirit was leading me to start my journey of entrepreneurship. This happened after I resigned from a job in the Corporate world. Without consulting God, I decided to move to Kingston because the salary was quite appealing. I took the risk to leave my daughter who was 18 months at the time. I felt uneasy during the entire process of moving to Kingston but I didn’t take heed to my feeling of uneasiness.  I was at the Corporate job for only 3 weeks and nothing was going right. After I resigned, I was wondering what I would do next. During this time, I was still Freelancing on Upwork and also working with another client who I met on Upwork.   JESUS IS MY PROVIDER I continued to tithe and God was my provider throughout the journey. I didn’t lack as all my needs were taken care of. In November 2019, I saw an open position for a Customer Service position. It was an opportunity for me to work remotely. I had always w...
